Katie is Luxury Real Estate Advisor, 200RYT Certified Yoga Instructor, founder and former CEO of Unearthed Rentals, an Alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, a single mom of two amazing boys and a 1-year-old golden retriever, a competitive paddleboard racer, and is actively working toward her Nutritional Therapy Certification.
Born and raised outside of Buffalo, NY, she quickly realized that enduring winter was a lifestyle choice that she no longer had to make. She attended FIU in Miami then finished her bachelor’s degree through SUNY College at Buffalo, and immediately moved herself to the sunshine state permanently with a degree in sociology & economics.
After immediately going into restaurant management after college, she soon joined forces with a local eating disorder clinic serving as the Director of Operations, having the opportunity to open multiple locations for the company during her time there. With the experience she gained running that operation, and the inner knowing that she always wanted to be an entrepreneur, she went on to start her own business, Unearthed Rentals, a successful design firm and furniture rental studio within the Miami event industry, designing events, manufacturing furniture, putting on more than 400 events a year, including celebrity events as well as marketing activations for well-known national brands. From 2018-2020 Katie spoke at multiple national conferences and consulted multiple businesses around the country regarding a unique hiring process she implemented, along with developing and defining company culture.
In 2020, she saw the opportunity to trade out the hustle & bustle of Miami life for the casual-paced beach life. Katie sold her house, sold her business, got her real estate license and moved herself and her two sons, Sawyer (8) and Charlie (5), to Tequesta, FL. After an incredibly successful start in real estate (nearly $20M in sales in her first 18 months), she decided it was time be more aligned with her own personal values of health and wellness, which is when she opted to get her 200 RYT yoga certification and pursue her Nutritional Therapy Certification, while continuing to be active in Real Estate with aligned clients that also have a true love for Jupiter and the Palm Beaches (and most having the same appreciation for health and wellness, the same way that she does).
Katie races paddleboards competitively, and is an athlete and mentor with The Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis, actively working with Pipers Angels Foundation, raising both money and awareness to help individuals with cystic fibrosis. She is fluent in sarcasm, and can typically be found with 4 beverages with her at all times.
During her free time Katie can be found surfing, paddle-boarding, working out, practicing yoga, relaxing at the beach with friends, traveling, playing with her 1-year-old Golden Retriever (Lou), and most importantly, loving on her boys, Sawyer and Charlie, and doing all the boy mom activities with them. As someone who doesn't do well with sitting still, the next goals on her list include placing top 3 in The Crossing on June 25th, taking up mountain biking, and beginning a jiu jitsu practice (mainly to keep up with her boys who are a year ahead of her).
